What do you think of when you
hear the words “world class?” “The best
of the best”, “highly refined” and/or “the finest available”?
From the days of the pioneer
settlers who battled enormous clouds of mosquitos and torrential flash floods
to the modern floods of tourists who flock to Mesquite on a daily basis, this
community has indeed become world class.
We are extremely fortunate to live in a thriving City with a small town feel
where education is almost always in the spotlight. To that end, I am absolutely
thrilled to be the principal of Virgin Valley High School!
VVHS has among the longest
standing traditions of excellence in the State of Nevada. Our entrance to the
school displays the many “Academic State Champion” trophies which cover an
entire wall. The gymnasium parades an extensive list of State, Zone, and
Regional Athletic Championship banners earned through the hard work of teams
and individuals over the years. Our auditorium and fine arts wing stand as a
tribute to the myriad of students and families who have honed their
exceptionally rare talents en route to greatness on the bigger stages of the world.
And finally, our laboratories and shops exhibit the outstanding Career and
Technical Education programs that continue to flourish in preparing our
students for the workforce.
In short, I am highly honored
to welcome you to Virgin Valley High School. We expect nothing short of
excellence from all staff, students, parents and community members and will
accept nothing short of a “World Class Education” for all. I hope to have your
full support as we synergistically press forward in the cause of producing well
rounded citizens, fully prepared for life after high school.
